On the heels of a main floor renovation project, our clients asked us back to renovate the second floor of their home only this time, with an additional decorating budget.  A young couple who were expecting their first child at the time, they wanted our help in creating a serene principal bedroom and en-suite. We gutted everything: ripped down walls, added new skylights and windows to bring in lots of light, raised the ceiling height significantly to follow the natural lines of the roof rafters above, and designed custom millwork throughout to maximize storage, while being sympathetic to the new angular lines. The result is a bright, airy retreat that’s filled with natural light, interesting architecture, and colourful and vibrant textiles.
