This Victorian gem was renovated and decorated years ago, proving that character and whimsy never date themselves. The old beauty had been badly treated in the 80’s – it was half-heartedly made open concept with the character striped away.  So we took it right down to the studs and added the Victorian character back in, starting with grand 12” high custom baseboards and beautiful trim work throughout that’s reminiscent of what would have been. New lighting was added to showcase the homeowner’s large art collection, and a whole new staircase was designed that returned tons of character back to the home. The upstairs was gutted as well to include a new en-suite bathroom, principal bedroom and guest room with a private terrace. When the renovations were complete, Steph decorated it with an eclectic mix of old and new furniture pieces, lots of colour, tons of whimsy, some bold art choices and statement pieces to create a vibrant home.
